BOB KIESERMAN has successfully worked with all types of libraries. Combining a career as a professor of business administration for over 20 years with a career as a consultant to organizations throughout the United States, Bob has gained a reputation as a reliable advisor to library directors and their staffs. Libraries throughout the region have adopted his innovative ideas. Bob earned his MBA from Temple University with a concentration in accounting and his MLIS from Rutgers University with a concentration in library administration and management. He is the author of four books and over 80 articles on management issues, he is the columnist on library human resources management issues for the Emerald journal The Bottom Line: Managing Library Finances, and he has presented workshops at major library conferences and staff retreats.

The firm provided clients with help in the areas of accounting and financial management, marketing and promotion, fundraising, human resources management, information technology, and strategic planning. Assistant to the Deans, Temple University School of Medicine
For over two years, Bob served as an assistant to the Associate Dean of Students and the Associate Dean of Continuing Medical Education, while also serving as the medical school's Director of Operations Analysis. As part of this position, Bob was responsible for monitoring the budget of the Temple University Health Sciences Center Library in Philadelphia. During this time in his career, Bob was also Adjunct Lecturer in Medical Practice Management at the Temple medical school, Howard University College of Medicine, the Temple University School of Dentistry, and the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine.
Retailer, Public Relations Practitioner, Entertainer
Bob grew up in the retail business. His family owned a large chain of home centers and health and beauty aids stores in Philadelphia. Bob worked in that business for several years which has given him a true appreciation for how the retail concept can be adopted to libraries. At another time in his early career, Bob also owned a small public relations agency, perfecting skills that he has used for his clients his entire career. Among his most important projects as a public relations practitioner was helping to produce a children's television show on KYW TV in Philadelphia in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia. Still another part of Bob's early career was as a professional entertainer with appearances on television, radio, and the concert stage throughout the east coast of the United States.
